Hello friends,
I've been thinking a lot about what it takes to be successful. We often hear the same advice: work hard, be the best version of yourself, take risks, and stay consistent. While these are important, I've come to realize there's another crucial element that doesn't get talked about enough:
luck.
Yes, luck. That unpredictable force that can make a big difference in our lives. I used to dismiss the idea of luck being important, but the more I see and experience, the more I recognize its power.
Luck can show up in many ways. It could be meeting the right person at the right time, finding an unexpected opportunity, or being born in the right place at the right time. These lucky breaks can help us achieve success.
But luck alone isn't enough. We can't control when or how luck will come, but we can prepare ourselves to take advantage of it when it does. Here’s how I believe we can make the most out of our lucky moments:
Be Your Best Self: Keep improving yourself. Learn new skills, gain knowledge, and get better at what you do. When luck gives you a chance, you'll be ready to take it.
Stay Persistent: Keep going, even when things are tough. Luck often helps those who don't give up.
Take Risks:Don't be afraid to step out of your comfort zone. Sometimes, luck comes in the form of a risky opportunity. Embrace it and give it a try.
Network and Connect: Build relationships and stay connected with people in your field. Many lucky breaks come from knowing the right people.
Maintain a Positive Attitude: A positive outlook can attract positive outcomes. Believe in your potential and stay open to new possibilities.
If you want to read more about this topic, today I recommend the following books:

This book explores the science behind luck and gives practical advice on how to increase your good fortune.
2. "Outliers: The Story of Success" by Malcolm Gladwell*
Gladwell looks at what makes people successful, showing how timing and opportunity (luck) are important.
3. "Fooled by Randomness: The Hidden Role of Chance in Life and in the Markets" by Nassim Nicholas Taleb*
Taleb examines the impact of randomness and luck in our lives, especially in the financial markets.
4. "The Success Equation: Untangling Skill and Luck in Business, Sports, and Investing" by Michael J. Mauboussin*
This book looks at the balance between skill and luck and how they affect success in different areas.
5. "Great by Choice: Uncertainty, Chaos, and Luck – Why Some Thrive Despite Them All" by Jim Collins and Morten T. Hansen Collins and Hansen analyze why some companies succeed despite unpredictable environments, highlighting the role of preparation and resilience in harnessing luck.
In conclusion, while we can't predict when luck will strike, we can prepare ourselves to make the most of it when it does. Keep striving to be the best version of yourself, stay persistent, and remain open to opportunities.
When luck meets preparation, success is within reach.
Here's to embracing the unpredictable and making the most of every opportunity!
